Notes about the Postscript Output
The postscript is produced by FrameMaker. It is printed
last page first (as our printers print face up).
A FrameMaker comment in the postscript file says:
% Known Problems:
% Due to bugs in Transcript, the 'PS-Adobe-' is omitted from line 1
/FMversion (3.0) def
so the file actually starts with just %!
This apparently stops ghostview from finding the page identifiers.
It has been suggested that editing the first line back to :
%!PS-Adobe-2.0
corrects this. I have not tried this but it is here as a suggestion.
Other notes:
Figure 8-6 is missing on purpose because it is a photograph of the die
which does not scan and print very well - due to the fine detail
(official copies of my thesis contain a photograph stuck in).
