Linda Brackenbury has been on the lecturing staff of the Computer Science Department at Manchester University since the late sixties. She is currently working on the design of a power-efficient DSP for portable applications. Her other research interests are in shortest path routing and in applications for SIMD optical architectures.
She lectures in VLSI Systems Design and in Optical Computing.
In her spare time she is a keen walker.
